PostSubject: Dual Monitors   Dual Monitors I_icon_minitimeSat Aug 08, 2009 10:12 pm

I got my HDMI-DVI cable. Now I have 2 monitors hooked up to my graphics card. It's hard to see things on the TV. Any tips on how to get a best resolution for the tv? From what I have observed, changing the resolution on one screen slightly affects the other screen. I've seen this happen on the lower resolutions. Perhaps turning off one screen would help me get a better resolution.

T.V. screens arent as sharp as a monitor. They don't show up as clear.

Not true for newer TVs. I'm not sure what kind of TV you're connecting, but a 1080p TV has higher resolutions than lower end monitors. In fact, the technology is identical in new TVs and Monitors.

I have a flat screen 1080 tv and it looks nowhere near as good as the monitor.

Aion actually detects the resolution for my tv screen itself. It fits in perfectly in the TV screen. I'll try it out this weekend for the last Closed Beta and I'll make a video from there Smile I might have to turn off my other monitor so I don't push my card's power and lag my game. We shall see this weekend Very Happy

A 1080i is only half as good as a 1080p. Also, newer LCD TVs run at higher frequencies, just like monitors.

I'll prob end up grabbing my old monitor for when I run Aion to have site up at all times when playing as well. I also just invested in a 500GB external HD for movies and ect. This will make my computer run much smoother. =P
